Coil spring insulator or seat?

I recently replaced my struts and shocks with KYB units. Now I have the sound of the front springs rubbing metal. The rubber above the spring was in good shape and was reused.
Looking at Rock Auto and KYB's site they show a :Coil spring insulator, lower as well as a Coilspring seat, upper. I don't recall there being a rubber component below the spring when I removed them. It's possible I overlooked this.
It seems that the "coil seat" would be on the bottom and the "insulator" would be on top.
I need the lower one. If someone confirm the part number for this I would apreciate it.
Thanks.

Sorry I don't have the part number.
The lower insulator is a thin plastic piece(not rubber). It is form fitted to the contour of the strut perch. Very easy to overlook if it was covered by road dust and dirt. It also has little tab ears that only insert one way. That insures the springs are "turned" the right way when installing.

Thanks Firemangeorge. The KYB part looks like what you described. I'll have to order a couple. Nothing like pulling struts out twice! I think I'll change the end links while i'm at it.

Fireman is correct. There is a white plastic seat at the bottom. I recently replaced my struts with KYB's as well and had the same noise you have. I took mine apart and discovered that I had installed the top cap for the spring incorrectly. I turned it 180 degrees and it seems to be o.k. now. There was deffinately metal to metal contact. You may check that.

Vince got it the upper plate must be timed to avoid metal to metal contact, the seats should be on the old struts if you still have them

I pitched the old ones. I've got the part numbers for the KYB, MOOG and Raybestos. I will have to order some this week. Now if can just get the time to do this again I'll be good.
Thanks again.
