HHR Panel with Eibach Sportline

Just over 500 miles on the HHR Panel and I lowered it with the Eibach Sportline Springs.
www.eibach.com

I used part number 4.9938 from the Cobalt. Eibach's website shows a 2" lowering in the front and 2.5" lowering in the rear for the Cobalt.

Measurements where taken with out anyone in the seat and the gas gauge at the 1/2 way mark. Lowered measurements taken after driving around the block to let the springs settle.

front driver lowered 1.875" (1 7/8")
front passenger lowered 2.000" (2")
rear driver lowered 2.625" (2 5/8")
Rear passenger lowered 2.750 (2 3/4")

Comparing the tire to fender gap, the rear sits 1/4" higher than the front. This is good because a full tank of gas and a subwoofer would probably even it up. Measurement from center of wheel to fender is 14" front, 14.25" rear.

Originally the front driver side was 1/8" lower than the front passenger side. Now they are exactly the same.

Originally the rear driver side was the same as the rear passenger side. The rear driver side now sits 1/8" lower than the passenger side.

It took me all day to lower El Feo Negro and I didn't want to take any pictures when it was getting dark. Pictures will follow.

For the do-it-yourself out there, I will posts step-by-step instructions with photos and a list of tools I used to do the job.

I also installed a front camber kit from Specialty Product Company.
www.specprod.com

Using part number 81250 EZ CAM XR. They come in a pair so all you need is to buy one. I'll be getting my alignment sometime between this Monday and Wednesday.

Next on the suspension mods will be a rear sway bar.

Thanks for the tip. It would have taken me a few days to realize that I would need to adjust them. You know, from other people high-beaming me. Pictures soon.

I'm not trying to be a wise guy, but the dimensions you gave (converted to decimal points) are not correct. Which is correct, decimal or fractional?

front driver lowered 1.875" (1 7/8") <--correct
front passenger lowered 2.000" (2") <-- correct
rear driver lowered 2.625" (2 5/6") <-- is it 2-5/16 (2.312) or 2-5/8 (2.625)?
Rear passenger lowered 2.750 (2 1/4") <-- is it 2-1/4 (2.25) or 2-3/4 (2.750)?

I ask for clarification, because these look good and I want to compare to others pics on different springs

Thanks,
Denis

Thanks for pointing this out. I correct it in my original post. I was typing it at around 3 AM. I was tired from working on my car all day and was sloppy with my 10-key.
