Yes, I know this is an old thread but still relevant.

Betting it’s a typo, 22245036 not 222445036.

Maybe 22245035 and 22245036 are left and right, coiled in opposite directions? edit - nah.

Cropped this shot of an SS with legible right rear spring tag. Left has 732 visible, presumed the same. Recent for-sale pic of a 2010 SS.

I’ve been digging into SS springs and finding some evidence that the manual got different springs that the automatic, front and rear. Will keep digging.

I still have my original FE5 springs. There is no left or right springs. Only 2 front 2 rears.
Here they are with updated pics (today). The tags show the same part numbers for left or right fronts. Same thing for rears.

Fronts

Rears

Thanks! Note the pic I posted of a rr spring is also 2010 5-sp., same 732 both sides.

If SS fan has a 2009 with 22245036 in the front, I wonder if that’s an automatic.

I am no longer going to assume the panels got the exact same springs. Probably the same tho.

PulpFiction. So you're just curious and wanting to find out this spring info. Cool.

For your next project, try this. The HHR SS came with 2 different mufflers. One for the automatic. One for the 5 speed...........Have fun figuring out why !

My bet is the part numbers change everytime a vendor changes.

The front SS springs seem to be obsolete, this Moog listing gives various part numbers their product replaces, but the relaxed spring length indicates your SS will be higher then stock up front.

A little more than that. I want to compile some of this stuff mostly for my own understanding, but I intend to share it once I have enough to make it useful. Not just springs. Suspension parts generally and perhaps some other items that cause confusion.

The muffler thing is veeery interesting. Do you have part numbers handy? Maybe the manual is quieter to squelch backfires.

Yeah, am placing zero trust in aftermarket parts supplier fitment info. First-hand owner reports like the aforementioned part number tags are great, as well as stuff derived directly from manufacturer sources.

Thank you for that. And I know that you know that the information is still useful as a baseline when contemplating modifications or aftermarket parts.
