Ever think Chevy may accualy be listening to the customer for the first time since 1972?

Ever think a little lightbulb clicked on in the designer's head and thought of it?

Ever think that since it might have such an upgraded sport suspenison that it might have softer springs which naturally make the car sit lower? (I assume.)

Ever think I could be rambling on about crap I don't even want to know about? (It happens often!! )

Just my .

Well if you look not too far back (atleast not as far as 72) The 94-96 impala SS's sat lower (by about 2 inches) than the caprice. The SS was really nothing more than a trip package on the caprice.

Prototype HHR SS models have been seen on the German Nurburgring track. This is considered the best test track in the world and used to compare relative track times to other vehicles (including those from other manufacturers). If they are serious about handling, then there will probably be a big difference in the components in the suspension. The 2LT has a "sporty" suspension, which usually means the components were selected to tilt the ride-quality/handling balance more toward handling. There is a big difference between a "sporty suspension" car and a suspension that actually handles well under hard use.

Personally, I expect the SS to have different components (shocks, springs, control arms, etc.) but the same type of suspension layout (because its usually too expensive to change the type of designed-in suspension). If the SS doesn't handle much better than the 2LT I will be disappointed.

Don't get me wrong, I definitely HOPE they put more than the "sporty" suspension on the SS... I just don't expect much from Chevy as they do not always make the best decisions for marketing.

I wonder if they'll fix the ride height so it sits more even rather than the ass end being raised a little higher than the front. Another hope of mine

doubt it.

my bet, springs (1.5in) shocks, and maybe a swap bar.

18's (may even be the cobalts rims).

my guess is based on the ZQ8 suspension of S-10s
