Increased Ride Height?

I'm wanting to increase the ride height of my 2010 HHR so that I have much more ground clearance much like the Mini countrymen

Any ideas on the best way to achieve a 2-3" lift?

My first thought would be to buy the Mini Countryman, I'm not saying that to be a snot, so please don't take it that way Mike. Raising an HHR would require some serious changes to the suspension both front and rear to do it correctly, maybe you could "bag" it and lower the air bags by dropping the mounting points, so when the bags are inflated to the "normal" ride height position it would sit higher than normal.

Its easy to raise a pickup because they use a conventional front suspension, raising something with a strut type suspension like the HHR is a difficult proposition. Its not even something you could do easily by running larger diameter tires due to the issue with the lower front spring perch hitting the tires when anything larger than 26" OD is fitted.

Find a Mini Countryman and a regular Mini, compare the suspension setups and you'll find things are almost completely different between the two, so even the manufactures have to do some serious engineering when the raise one up.

Not worth it. I suggest another car.

i've seen a couple Donk'd HHRs with 22's on a 2-3" lift, probly just install some coil spring spacers

The closest point of contact is the lower spring perch on the front struts..... About 26 inches diameter, maybe a hair over, like 26.3" is the tallest tire you are going to fit on an HHR.

Saw a HHR BODY at the Michigan sand dunes in July. The body was kind of "ratty" and it appeared to be on a frame since the vehicle was rear wheel drive and jacked about 12-15 inches. Couldn't get pictures when you're running in the sand.

Coil spring Spacers would be the easiest way to go !
I added 1" inch lift in the rear of mine .
Jegs has the spacers 1" U spacers item# 555-60830 for only $11.99 each
I placed them under my springs for 2" I guess you could put one on top of the spring for a 2" lift.... It was Easy !

Id be hesitant without installing camber adjusters..going up messes with the cg's and will cause body roll..unles you spring bar and shock the crap out of it
