What is the drop with HHR SS springs?

Thanks!
09 Cobalt SS/TC rear springs drop 1" & ride about the same as HHR FE3 sport suspension rear springs. Which I have installed & the ride is good.

Cobalt SS/SS are softer & probably little more than 1" drop in rear..

HHR SS rear springs used on LS or LT drop 3/4" in rear & ride is stiffer.

Can't answer to front spring changes, I just wanted mine "Leveled" & got that with rear spring change only.

Sounds to me like the older Cobalt SS/SC or Saturn ION Redline springs are the way to go for a cheap drop and comfort. From what I've read, they drop the front about 1" and the rear about 1.5." They can be had for under $100 shipped used too.

Thumbs up "Balt SS/TC rear springs & TTR Sway Bar

Been extremely pleased with the Cobalt SS/TC rear springs, Big Improvement in handling. Lower CG was a definate big plus.

Recently cut a great deal on a TTR rear sway bar, figured I'd do some miles of testing to see how things worked out, before commenting.

Started easily to get a feel, & moved to more aggressive driving. Pushing it Hard thru various curves, swerves & generally giving it a good work-out, it just stays really flat & planted, & hugs almost like on rails. I really look forward to the twisties.. What a diff.. No understeer felt, & so far no oversteer either..
I am totally pleased with this combo. "Springs & bar".

With approx 150 varied miles on with sway bar, I am Really enjoying this additional Improvement. My lil "Sleeper" feels more solid & much more responsive, like it should be..The ride quality is the same Very Good.. But the handling is now Truly AWESOME.

Now I just need to be careful to find it's limits....And not from a ditch...

Just curious is $55 shipped a good price for rear springs off a 09 Cobalt SS with 7K miles?

sgtsteve-

I paid $74 to my door, for mine from GM parts online..

So I would say yes, $55 shipped sounds pretty decent. And those you mentioned will already be 'settled in'...
PS: FWIW: the springs are 1" lower than the rear HHR springs, so you will be 1" lower in the tail on yours. After install & some miles, you should check headlights for any adjustments possibly needed..(including the fog lights as well) ..

& Leave the GM Part # tags on them, shouldn't have any hassle about warranty..
