I think it handles extremly well. Went down to the HHR nationals and there is not a straight road to get there. Anyhow I took it very spirited. mpg curves were 55 or better. No leaning really felt good. I tried to push it as far as I could. Never got the tires to break lose.I love the look to. Dropped front and rear perfect to me. I don't worry about bottoming out on the side roads I have to travel to get to my house. Highly recomended.I sent some pics to some PPL on here, maybe they'll post them in this thread.

After advertising that fact, you may need to set up shop and start taking parts orders from us... many of us are in need of armrest and other GM parts, and we'd definitely like to get in on a decent discount.

Hi Breeze, I just ordered Cobalt SS rear springs, the 08 P/N 25821162 from GM Parts Direct. I'd like your opinion on whether the rear springs alone will actually level my HHR. I know you replaced all 4 springs on your ride, but was wondering if you had any time between doing the rear, then the front, to determine if the rear only swap caused the front to look too high. All I plan on changing is rear springs to actually level my HHR and I'm a little concerned about having a reverse lean without changing the front also. The pair of springs were only $75 with shipping so I guess I'll try them and if the front looks too high, I'll revert back to stock rear springs and just add the Cobalt springs to my 30 year collection of unused parts. The install seems very easy. Thanks for your advice!

I did just put the rears in first. Took about 20 minutes. If I remember it sat preety much level. Drove it a couple days before I got time to put the front ones in. I think you'll be happy. Just make sure to transfer the rubber ends from your old springs to the new ones.

From a discussion on a cobalt forum, they swear the cobalt SS/SC springs will only lower about 1/2". Are you sure about your measurements?
My stock LS seems to be 28 1/4" rear and 27 1/4" front right now.

Thanks again, Breeze for your input. My new 08 Shadow LT sits at 29" high in the rear. It only has 500 miles on it and hasn't settled down yet, not knowing if it will. Whether it's 1/2" or the 1.12" that we both calculated, it will help. There is far too much room over the rear tire to see open wheel well. My car has the chrome 17" wheel package. I'll have them installed as soon as they arrive and let you guys know the results.

I don't have any before pics at all. As far as the cobalt only dropping 1/2" that may be on a cobalt. A HHR has more wieght in the rear. I took measurements before an after. It was a little over an inch drop.
