The older the HHR gets the harder to fine parts , and the Cobalts are not any easier to find parts for either

Yeah.. sort of sucks to have that built in obsolescence. I found a MOOG set ( ) that is theoretically the direct replacement for the Cobalt SS springs. For the price it's worth the look-into. Supposed to be crap weather and cold this next week so I don't know when I'll get to install them.

Wow letterman7, those rear springs look terrible with those dead coils. Looks like all your suspension travel/load is being put on 1 single coil. Not a very good design.
Guess I was lucky to get my rear Pedders prototype springs. They were apparently a one of a kind because they never were produced after I trial tested them for Pedders. 1.5 inches of rear drop and still working good after 8 years.

Yeah, I wasn't happy when I put the car back on the ground. I have MOOGs coming in from Amazon, probably tomorrow, but it'll be a bit before I get them installed. I don't have to go anywhere, so the car can sit.

Yep, I have the Cobalt SS/TC rear springs. GM part number for the SS/TC rear spring is # 25621162 for both sides. 1 1/4" drop

And I do a lot of hauling w/no issues.. You say they are NLA ? Hard to believe. Rock auto has Moog for the SS/TC. or Ebay ?
