Lowering Question
#12
If you have tools and are car savvy enough...do the install yourself. I did my canucks the first time around and did my coilovers a few weeks back. As long as you have the right tools it's not hard. The hardest part is removing the boots on the rear springs.

Fwiw. I think the technical name is: bottom=Spring seat........ top= bumper

My mechanic used to charge me 100.00 to switch them out, but after doing 9 times He has raised the price to 150.00..........still a sweet deal and He can do it with his eyes shut in a half hour, including tightening up the rear brakes if it's a naturally aspirated unit. I opted for the lifetime alignment with the Firestone boys, since I am prone to changing my ride height, 150.00 once.

Trust me, I do love working on my car, but suspension isn't my thing. I would want the springs done properly and knowing me I would fu** it up. I will keep phoning around on quotes.
I could ask my mechanic, but I would get this big lecture on why I shouldn't change my factory springs. (just do it for me) Maybe it's time to find a new mechanic.
Thanks guys! As usual, you've been of great help!
