lowest springs I can get?

Looking up lowering springs, I only found lousy 1"f, 1.5" rear kits for $300

What is the point?

I would like a noticeably more aggressive look. not just marginal

I would like the top of tire to meet with bottom of the fender (looks wise, not actually touching)

also, any thing I need to know before lowering it?

Probably need coilovers to get that low. Lowest springs I know of are B&G and H&R, check those out.

2 options.....

1) cut a couple coils off of the stock springs
or
2) use a heatgun to heat up the springs and let the weight of the car bring them down.

ok, i'm just kidding. your 2 best options to go "super low" like you are wanting would be coilovers or air ride. air ride will cost you around $2000, coilovers are between $1000-1200 depending on which set you get.

i think coilovers are going to be the only way to get as low as you are looking to go. this is how i have mine sitting right now, (on Ksport coilovers) it's bumpy, you learn to avoid potholes, but overall, it's better than other lowered cars i have had by a lot LOL....new rims and tires on the way, and im thinking about going another 1/2" :)

I went with Proggresive in Anaheim, Calif. lowered 2 1/2 in. in the rear and 2 in. front, my HHR is 2006 2lt I added fe-5 struts made a great difference in ride quality.

They have adjustable damping, from soft which rides like stock at slow speeds. to hard, which rides like a nascar. I keep them somewhere in the middle. Like I said above it rides very nice. Most folks that have rode in it say its the best mannered lowered car they ever rode in. I am anal about ride quality, and I'm happy I bought them.

Stop by and take it for a spin....
