Question Rear Disc Brakes

Got my Silver LT2 last week... love it. I plan on a lowering kit, exhaust kit, and most likely an intake kit as well. After all that work, I'd love to add rear disc brakes! Has anyone tried GM factory replacement parts? The HHR is a Cobalt right? They have optional disc brakes right? Anyone have any contact with GM to see if those would work on a HHR? Seems simple to me, maybe too simple. Anyone have an aftermarket solution?

Happy Birthday to you! How do you like those brakes? I almost hate to admit it... but, I want to upgrade more for the "look" than the performance. (Although that would be a great bonus, or do I have that backward?)

they stop the car good....
For me... its the braking... cars veering in your way.... deer running across the road..... etc..

I don't know if another company have come out with the rear disc.. I was called by GM... I spilled my stories of what was missing from the vehicle.. maybe in 2007 upgrades.... who knows...

Happy Birthday, Henry!

About the brakes: It's too bad you chose a wheel that hides that fabulous mod! With all that "meat", you can't see what is IMO the best HHR mod out there!

You can see some of it..
pLus all that meat also helps the little of brake dust from the pads from landing on the nice and shiney parts of the wheels..

thanks..
