I have the Goldline rear leveling springs in my 06, and now anytime the car is put on a lift, both of the springs fall out. Are other people having this problem? Are there any shocks available that are an inch shorter than the factory ones to eliminate the problem?

I didn't have that problem when I had goldline lowering springs, but I do now with the kport rear springs (they're about half the size of the stock springs). I'm not sure about shocks. You could probably find some aftermarket ones if you know the dimensions. I've been trying to think of another way to prevent the rear beam from dropping so far, like a cable or something.

I thought about that also-like a giant wire tie only stronger.

I haven't measured yet, but something like a tailgate cable might work.

Try to find some DJM shocks or some other brand of lowering shocks. They aren't too expensive and they're gas-charged too.

Bilstein will also tell you if they have a shock that will work if you call their tech department with dimensions of the stock shocks like extended length, collapsed length, eye diameters, etc.

Just checked with Koni and there rear shock is 15.11" extended, versus about 15.5" stock, so that doesn't help much.

I tried looking at shocks for other vehicles, but the specs are generally not listed. I also found some companies that will custom make shocks, but I probably don't want to know how much they cost. I'll check with bilstein though. What is the eye diameter by the way, 9/16?

I am not sure of the size, but the lowering springs are supposed to be 1.6 inches shorter. Since they only pop out a little bit, a shock about an inch shorter should be fine. Cables would work, but they would also bang around and make noise when driving.

I was thinking of rubber coated tailgate cables, but I think they would be too long.

I measured today, and 13.5-14'' extended would be about perfect if I could find a shock.
