Struts with eibach lowing springs

Has anyone paired KYB struts with a set of eibach lowing springs? The factory struts are not very good, i had them replaced 2 times already, nut i do have 89k miles and 75 percent city driving.

I Threw Away the Stock Sport () Suspension Struts at 12,000 Miles and Matched the SS Struts and Shocks with the Eibach Lowering Kit and am Very Satisfied with the Whole Package ! Here's the Link with Some Great Pricing : http://www.crateenginedepot.com/stor..._ID=188&Page=1

The KYB struts you're talking about are factory replacements. They likely won't be any better. If you want better struts, your best bet would be to get FE5's. Koni also makes a strut insert and shock that works, but it's very pricey (but also adjustable).

I agree with Kevin. I have done some research and the FE5 appear to be the only shock out there that is designed for the HHR to be stiffer and more of a competitive shock.

I have Eibach springs and will be going to the FE5's in the spring when it is warmer.

Would like to hear about any other shock anyone else knows about.

Coilovers are another option.

Will the complete FE5 suspension fit on the HHR?

If you changed everything, you'd be talking over $2000 easily.

I am by no means am the written word but here are a few recommendations from my personal research for what it's worth !

1) Dailey Driver? Eibach Pro Spring Kit w/ FE5 Struts and Shocks are an Exceptional Upgrade! Also a TTRacing Rear Sway Bar Should be Added !

2) The FE5 Front Sway Bar is Smaller in DIA. than your Factory Sport 2LT is! Don't Bother with the Upgrade, it is Actually a Downgrade !

3) If Planing to Auto Cross Your HHR go with the Total FE5 Package (Less Front Sway Bar), Koni's (with a Spring Upgrade) or the Coil Over Offerings !

Good Luck with Whatever Options You Choose !
