Yeah what Greybeard999 says - the sway bar end links typically wear out the quickest, then the sway bar bushings.

The end links are easy to check for play at either of their ball joints - any play and they are junk - they make more of a rattling sound when they are shot.

The sway bar bushings can be checked with a lever or screwdriver between the bar near the bushing and the frame they are mounted to - any play results in more of a KLUNKING or THUMPING sound (and can sometimes be felt thru the floorboards).

I still have a little clunk in the front even after changing the struts. My front end is tight. Inspected the top bearing plate when I changed out the struts, felt good. I have an SS and can't do a buy/swap thing. Can only really hear it in cold weather, that's why I replaced them at 50K. "Clunk" at times is these cars are a mystery.

Also check the front bumper cover. Many of them are not real tight up against the foam support.
