Sense changing bushings is the same procedure as changing sway bars I'd opt for a new Eibach bar and fix two(posible) issues at the same time.

Mine has also been in 4-5 times for this ,among other issues, Right now I'm at 38000 miles . It was taken in at 35,500 miles and has an open case with GM, And will be covered untill they fix it, Per GM.

Seeing as they cant seem to fix yet Ill live with it for now, since the cold weather is almost done. I would also like to know what kind of after market bushings to look at, maybe I'll just get it done my self this summer and then see what happens next winter.

was just looking around and on the other HHR forum theres a guy running these http://www.energysuspensionparts.com...sp?prod=9.5161 think I will be getting a set of these in just a while. Here is the link to that thread as well incase any one was wondering.

I've been running the greasable sway bar bushings from energysuspension, have been in 5 degree weather and noise has not returned.however, these bushings lower the sway bar and make it really close to the k-frame.I put one quarter inch plate under mine,2 inches wide by 4 and one half inches long.this also gives the bushings a good flat spot to sit,as there is a dip in frame that factory bushings sat in.

Thats what they told me also however they cant find the issue no matter what I/they suggest and no other dealer will look at since its not under warranty any more. I mean they replaced the the steering column thinking that would cure it even though its a suspension noise and you can tell. Im just sick of fighting with them and figure if for 20 bucks I can fix it myself might as well, and then less of a headache all around.

The stock bushings are crap. When I had my 07 HHR,they were replaced 4 times. Now my 09 SS is squeaking like a 40 year old car. I have 10,080 miles on mine and it sounds awful in anything colder than 30 degrees.

Well I just followed up with the dealer and they informed me that the bushings are now on back order and don't know when they will get them. Guess I'm living with the squeaks and clanks of the front end for awhile now.

Crisco grease liberally applied to the bushings worked for me....just kidding.
