Turning slotted/x-drilled rotors
#11
The reason I was considering the slotted rotors was because they help a bit in braking and Ive heard they stay a bit cooler under braking than standard rotors. I don't want them to warp after one hard stop, and it is not uncommon to have to go from 70 to a stop fast with the way people drive here on the freeway. I appreciate the input you guys. I may just go with some good quality rotors, and if that doesn't work, I'll step up to the slotted rotors. Definitely gonna adjust the rears.
I was surprised to find that drivers in Albuquerque think "stop & go traffic" means having to stop at every other light on Menaul Blvd. On the I 95 from DC to Fredericksburg you go 0 to 70 to 0 probably every 2 miles at rush hour.

the "random orbit" pattern you are talking about is done on a Blanchard Grinder. no auto shop will have one of these machines in the back. can be done on a universal cylindrical grinder but who has on of them?

Like I said, I have never heard of anyone who did it, just that it exists.
