Thumbs up 20 inch wheels

Well I had them put on Mon. (Netto Neo/Gen tire size 225/35/20) felt really no difference in the way it rode and I love the look ! I am sure that if you hit a big pothole you will feel it but as far as speed bumps road dividers normal road conditions it road nice no loud road noise no vibrations so I am happy with my choice now next to have it lowered .

I am ready to put lowering springs on Pro Kit Eibach and noticed that the Springs for a HHR are the same #s for a Cobalt so anybody wondering about spring rates due to the slightly heavier HHR it would appear that Eibach has designed them the same also I think that when I buy new tires I will change to 245/30/20 I was told that the tires I put on are an inch taller do not know if it is true but you should compare the size . The tires I put on are extreemly close to the bottom of the spring 1/8 inch away that is why I went with the Eibach not quite as of a aggressive drop . Live and learn hopefully from others mistake . I was told that was the right size tire so I bought it and now I am not sure so do your homework .

The space between the tire and strut is NOT affected by the spring.... tire size is what affects that....if you look, the strut is fixed to the hub
All the Cobalt and HHR springs are interchangable..its the same vehicle with a different body ( mostly) a few people have usd cobalt springs with no problems

20 inch rims

Ya I know it is a fixed distance but I would preferer to have alittle more distance away and buy changing tire size I would acheive that . Now anyone have more up to date on shocks ? I am looking at KYB or FE5 those are the only 2 I can afford . I have heard people say that the KYB are no better than stock and that the FE5 are much better . Come guys I need help before I make a mistake .

Kyb's are supposed to be about 13-15 % better then stock ( LT) The FE5 are stock SS...unless you have deep pockets thats all you get
