It's a classic now, from Christmas 1975 or so!!

Perhaps the oddest musical pairing until Tony Bennett hooked up with Lady GaGa, but it worked, and it still does.

Recorded on September 11, 1977 at the Elstree Studio in Britain, Bing died a little over a month later on October 14, 1977.

The Special aired on November 30th, 1977 on CBS and Bing said of Bowie. "He's a clean-cut kid and a real fine asset to the show. He sings well, has a great voice and reads lines well".

And that's it for today's lesson in music history.

Me too my friend, but back then, gray hair and reading glasses were so far away.

Today being the end of a rough year, I'm sure this will be a great tune to CRANK UP!!!
JJ Cale's After Midnight, from Eric Clapton!
