Drive belt tensioner replacement
Hello HHR Community, and thanks for the welcome!!!
Here's my first post.
I own 2 2008 HHR's one is a 2.4LT and the other is a 2.2 Panel.
I need to replace the 2.4 belt tensioner and drive belt. However, it does look intimidating. Is anyone aware on any how to videos? I've been to several sites and HHR's are excluded. There is plenty of literature out there, nonetheless, lots for the 2.2 cobalt and other vehicles sharing the same 2.2. I have purchased these parts already, I just need the umph to get started and the video for guidence.
Thanks to all.

Check this out - it's on a Cobalt, but it's basically the same process: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/prob...r-kudos-48187/

Once you get the belt off, remove the front motor mount jack the motor up until the bolt lines up with the hole in the fender wall, r&r tensioner.
I don't have the torque specs at hand. Good idea to use a new bolt. No video needed, not half as intimidating as you think.

How many bolts hold the tensioner on? There is only one.(period)
You asked about the tensioner not the tensioner pulley. However you have to remove the tensioner in order to replace the pulley. I believe they are only sold as an assembly, not sure though.
There is one misspell in post #3; "wall" should be "well". Is that the confusion?
I just don't know how to be more clearer!
