Question Sensor?

I have a 2007 HHR with the 2.4 and automatic transmission. On the front of the transmission bell housing is some kind of sensor or electrical hookup of some sort and it is leaking fluid. Can anyone tell me the name of this thing so I can try and find one. It has a round connector with mutiple pins. Thanks in advance.

The oring in the wiring connection from the TCM to the internal sensors and pressure switches can leak , I make sure my front end is higher than the rear so the trans fluid is below the oring, it stopped leaking, 2 years ago

Mine seems to be leaking through the inside of the connector and gets into the wire loom and then leaks out at a lower point and the fan sprays it onto the front of the engine. The hookup point looks like it turns a quarter turn to release it from the transmission but I was scared to remove it because I was not sure if it was connected by wires inside or not.

It does connect to the internal electronic parts.

I am hoping someone who has changed out this connector will chime in here. I found the connector pictured and it appears that something on the inside of the transmission plugs into the backside of the connector but I don't want to get trouble by removing it. I am going to make a trip to my local dealer tomorrow if no one can tell me for sure here.

Well on second look it appears that this connector is press in from the inside out so replacing it is out of the question. I did the old trick we used to do on boats in salt water to,seal the connectors, I filled the connector with silicone and pressed the wire connector into it until it latched. I will let it dry over night and see if I get any leaks tomorrow. If not good, if so it will be a trip to the dealer for repairs. I am too old for that kind of major repair anymore.
