Whats your gas mileage on your HHR
#22
According to the DIC, I am getting an average of 37.2 out of mine. It has the 2.2 & a 5-speed and I have been trying my best to wring as much mileage as possible out of her. When I get on the interstate, the mileage drops to 33. But if I stay on roads where I don't go much past 55 & I hyper mile the mileage can be unbelievable!

I've got an 07 w/2.2 auto. I live in S. Fl. and use my car for work everyday. It is driven 200 to 450 miles daily. I get 24-26 city and 33-38 hwy. Now there are a few people at work talking about getting their own HHR. I too get behind semi's whenever possible.

2.4 2LT in phoenix getting18-19mpg city, 24-25 highway, not happy am I!!
Is it just me or do you guys feel that the your units run better when it's cool. I'm thinking there is a price to pay for having a MAP sensor verses a MAF, just sayin!!!
Also, when do you first change plugs. I'm closing in on 40K. Thinking maybe the plugs are tired!! Have any of you had any experience with Bosch plugs or some of the other aftermarket plugs??
Anyone have experience with aftermarket "tunes"? Which i assume is different fuel management profile?? There is a guy mentioning them on a performance thread!!

Not sure what your statement about the sensors means. I know my SS has a MAF and 2 MAPs. Pretty sure your 2.4 has a MAF.

what the average temps and what is the altitude where you live?? To be honest i really don't know what the HHR has as far as MAP and MAF. What i was basing my statement on was the 2005 Classic that had the 2.2 ecotec motor. Was disappointed in the mileage on it as well. It only had MAP sensor!! For some lame reason i guess i felt like they were all the same. Will check on the MAP MAF situation!!

Just for comparison......
I'm in Mesa, have a 2.4 automatic and get routinely 23-25 in the city and 30-34 MPG on the highway (depending on speed limit).
So, I would guess you should be getting approx. the same depending on your driving habits.
