**Ecotec modification POLL**

How much SERIOUS*(serious meaning, the money is available to spend) interest would there be around this forum for serious modification* to your HHR?

Serious modification-non-bolt on, I'm not talking about turbo/blower parts/swaps. I have a close tie with a very reputable shop in Texas, that may be willing to give us as well as other ecotec platforms some serious parts and performance IF the interest, serious interest is there.

Options

1) Yes I am very interested and I have the available money on hand to buy when things become available

2) No, I am not interested

What sort of parts? Cams, stroker kits, induction, exhaust? ECM Reprogramming that may be necessary with engine mods? What about the transaxle?

A well thought out, dyno'd and documented kit would sell. It would also take a huge up front investment on the part of the manufacturer.

Keep in mind the old adage, speed is money, how fast do you want to go?

The ECM part is handled, the list of parts you basically named. After extensive R&D work is put in they could then determine the direction that the parts would go. Manufacturing is no issue, the ties they have is like no other in the industry. But the interest has to be there, before even the R&D work would be put in.

Well seeing as the car has been around since 2006 and it's already over halfway into the 2010 year, and no R&D work has been done in that time frame.....to do proper R&D, it'll be a year or so till the parts start to trickle in. Can anyone say today that they will have the interest and funds then?

Yes and no, Yes because if you have the money readily available now you should have equal that amount then. No because obviously, things do happen.

If I have 20$ in my pocket today, and a steady job, barring some un-forseeable accident I will have 20$ next year.
