Thanks everybody for your feedback! Thanks to this forum, I've always been extra careful closing the rear hatch, using the license plate to close the hatch. I'm not sure how I got those dents. Just one day, they were there. Could have been at the car wash, or maybe my friend who closed the hatch. Then again, it was probably just forgetful me! I'll take it to my trusty Paintless Dent Removal guy and see what he can do. Anybody know if they have to remove the interior panel on the hatch, or can they take out the dents just from the outside?

Ah, okay- I've read these threads before and wondered how the plastic part would dent...

I think Ill design a support that goes inside the hatch to prevent this.

Depends.

It depends on who is doing it and what kind of tools they have to address it properly. PDR guys are like artist and they all have their ways of dealing with metal shaping.

Many will drill a hole for the leverage to work the metal as with the panel off there is not many places to get good leverage and still see the outside to work the metal.

i was worried about this yesterday as i got a replacement tire put on and they got my rim out of the back and put my donut back there. Luckily the guys only touched the bottom of the door. I was watching them through the window like a hawk.
