Wishing your wife a speedy recovery! Since your LT looks to be a loaded one, maybe the insurance check will be sufficent enough to get a leftover 08 LS with a bit of $$$ added...and you'd be helping GM by buying a new one! Good luck!

Wow!! After that I sure am glad to hear your wife had very few injury's. Says a lot about the HHR's crash worthiness.

I think there is no way that your car is not totaled. Hopefully they give you enough to get another. This accident would make me want another.

Hope your wife feels better soon.

I'm guessing the airbag opened up? I'm sure that accounts for the bruising but is much better than the alternative! Glad to hear she made it through OK.

My wife totaled her car, a 2003, about a month ago, we were able to replace it with the same model, 2 years newer and about 60xxx less miles. Only had to finance about $10K which is a pretty small payment. It worked out pretty good actually.

yep.......most of her injuries are from the seatbelt and airbag......plus some neck pain......I cant finance anything so if we replace it with an HHR hopeflly the insurance will but us another 06...........NADA says 14k

Wow. Glad your wife is in relatively good condition and I wish her a fast recovery. Definitely looks like the car did its job in protecting her though.

As with so many others here I wish your wife a very speedy recovery. I said a prayer for her. I'm hoping to pick mine up today, but if not today - then next week. This makes me want it all the more. It appears to be able to take one heck of a beating & keep the occupant around. (so they can buy another one)
