They were pretty expensive, like the $200 each range. And they don't look very good , they are stuck on with double sided tape.

Firemangeorge reminds me I left a zero off the price tag.

Thanks for the info! Seems like I read somewhere that 1961 Chevy Impala tail lights could also possibly fit on the back tail lights of an HHR, same diameter? Make for an easy mod to create a more retro look. I’m hoping to find various modifications that will offer an even more 40’s or 50’s ascetic.

Bullet or beehive custom tail lights,

They remind me of Mimi VanDorn

That’s too bad, I’m very sorry to hear about the owner of that website passing. I thought it was a fun idea, even if it turns out it was a bit overpriced and not as well executed as it could have been. I’m just hoping to add some cool 40’s or 50’s or maybe even early 60’s retro vehicle stylings to my HHR. Just to give it an even more unique look. I love the idea of making it even more retro than it already is. I especially like anything that offers the old 50’s ambulance or hearse look to it, as those are some of my favorite vehicles. Something about that era of mixing the utilitarian commercial uses with the at times outrageous outer ascetics that I really enjoy.

I think this might be the word you're thinking of, but it's not exactly correct either. https://www.dictionary.com/browse/aesthetics

Haha, indeed that was the word I was trying to get my phone to type. :P

I’m not sure what it is about the look of those cars, but I’d take it over a sports car or exotic race car or a beefy muscle car any day. All those fun chrome features and round bubble lights and curved body lines, it’s what drew me to the HHR in the first place for a modern alternative.
