07 Auto Lock not working

My Autolock stopped working. I checked to make sure it was still active and it was set to ALL. There is no other problems with the locks that I can tell. What could the problem be? Thank you.

Do you mean the door locks don’t lock when you put it in drive and start moving?

Do they work with the remote and/or the buttons?

Welcome to the site, how old is the HHR’s battery? Low voltage can cause lock issues

Maybe 2-3 years old. I replaced the factory battery then.

The auto lock when starting to drive is a programmed feature. You may need to get the PCM flashed.

Do you suspect somebody snuck into the car with a Tech2 and reprogrammed the PCM? It is the BCM that controls the locks, and just as unlikely a gremlin snuck in with a computer.

Are we talking about locking and unlocking when the gearshift is moved in and out of park? Did anyone messed with any wiring just before this started? Maybe the shift interlock switch in the gear shifter is bad. I can't think of anything else.
I'm not sure where the BCM gets the park signal from, could be either the park neutral safety switch on the trans or the gear shift lever.

Do these lock when any gear is selected? I may be confusing with another car line.

They lock whenever you shift from park , then unlock whenever you shift back into park.

If you battery is good try a battery lobotomy, disconnect the negative battery cable only , for ten minutes, then reconnect it, this resets the computers

Wondered if it was a programming issue. Not.

It’s not a manual, is it?
