have you checked for VOLTAGE on the crank fuse or at the solenoid?
That would narrow thinks down. The HHR is not wired like older cars; the key sends a signal to the BCM, the BCM sends signals to the appropriate modules. If the key was the problem nothing would work, if the BCM was bad the starter relay would not click.
You have said the starter is good, the relays click, but you have not tested the power to the starter solenoid. I don't put much credence into "can't hear the fuel pump"; it only runs for a few seconds if the engine doesn't start and you are sitting pretty far away from it. If it was noisy enough to notice before it is probably ready to die.

Okay first thing I want to apologize for getting ahead of myself and confusing everyone trying to help me. At first i didnt have someone to turn the key for me while inwas under the hood. I just did that and the #34 crnk relay is not clicking. I removed it and tested voltage. There is no power going to the pins when the key is turned. I did also try the cooling fan relay and swapped the #51 relay as well. No clicks on any of them when trying to crank the vehicle. However the relay inside the car in the passenger kick panel fuse box is clicking when the key is cranked.

Did you test the crank fuse? Should be 12 volts on both sides. If that is ok then the BCM is being told not to start. Somebody recently found the problem but my memory sucks.

I think you said the remote start doesn't work because of P0128. That code doesn't persist. Could it be the hood latch interlock switch?

In post #6, my assumption is
Which doesnt work because of a stuck open thermostat.
means P0128

I checked the #5 30 amp crank fuse and it has no power at all before and during cranking the key. The hood latch appears fine and when the car started the other day the hood was open. I went a few months ago to the part store when my thermostat went out and they tried to check for codes and their reader when plugged in didnt get any signal at all from the car. He said he thinks my port where it plugs in isnt working. It also appears just fine. After i wiggled the fuse box the other day the car has a host of new issues. Wipers dont work, headlights dont work, horn doesnt work, service air bag, fuel guage still doesnt work but the power steering warning went away. Im afraid it is a fuse box issue but im open for suggestions on where to look next.
