It was not long ago people easily died in accidents like this.

I have seen may HHR's that have take hard hits and from all indications the unibody on this little vehicle is very strong and absorbant.

I even have seen one hit first hand to see the people walk away and the HHR remain largely intact.

I am glad to see your family is safe and well on the way to recovery!

These are the images GM and Chevy should advertise! Safty like this would sell a lot of cars. No advertising hype here just the facts.

Wow, I'm Glad your family made it out with their lives, This could have been a whole lot worse then what it was. What a strong little car we have. Thanks for sharing the photos with us here on the board.

Glad to hear your family made it....but whats the story behind the crash other than the fact they hit head on? What lead up to the crash?

First of all I am glad to hear that your family survived with rather minor injuries considering the impact was like hitting a brick wall at 110MPH!!!

Every time a see a major wreck with an HHR, I am amazed at how well they handle it.
