I haven't accidentally opened mine yet. Doesn't always open on the first try though, especially if I haven't opened them for a while.

I like this... if I can get the timing right, I deftly manipulate the remote to start the vehicle with my left hand while (gently) palming a side window with my right saying 'ehhhhhhh'

Again, kind of like the Fonz and tapping/punching the Wurlitzer at Arnold's, to get it to play.

All year model and trim levels are capable of remote hatch release. The wire is white/black in plug C1 pin 69 at the BCM. The BCM is on the front passenger side of the center console attached to the fuse panel. C1 is the vertical plug torwards the rear of the car. It is grey with a blue locking mechanism on it. you only need to send a (-) pulse to this wire to activate. The 08 remote can be programmed to operate all years models with passkey III+.

ok so what you are saying in the last post is it is possible to reprogram the
08 key fob to work on the 07 panel side doors is there anyone willing to try this modifacation and mabey take some pictures detailing it ....i am going to be doing the back seat mod....found one at a wrecking yard and it would make it alot easyer to get my young 2 boys in the back if all i had to do was hit a button on the key fob instead of open the front doors and then hit the switch

thanks again you guys are great

Although this does not address the OP question, it does open the possibility to add a switch to the drivers area to pop the liftgate - something another poster wanted to do years ago. Or interface with an aftermarket alarm/FOB system.
