33k good mi on early 06. Thought serious about SS till I saw something about changes scheduled for 09. Any details available?

The regular HHR is to get a face lift of some sorts for 09 so the SS may see some of that also

Chevrolet HHR: Saying they decide to keep the HHR (which is in question), a new one will come for the 2011 model-year. Like the new Cobalt, it will be based on the new Delta II platform.

For the redesign, I personally think they will ditch the retro look for something with wider appeal, more modern and sporty.
