09+ window switches in an 07
I have a stupid question. The center stack window switches is driving me insane.
I was wondering IF you had an 07 and came across the door panels and center cubby piece would it be possible to move the switches to the front doors as opposed to the center stack location? I can run wires, but would the switches operate the same? Same wiring? Obviously different harnesses and plugs...

Found a few threads but noone posted anything concrete. Someone listed buying the 09 controller and $700 worth of wiring harnesses, but I can make harnesses easy. Seems like the easiest thing to do would be get an 09 door panel with switches and figure out how to pin out that to the 07 center stack harness. Easiest thing to do would be get a junkyard to cut the harness with the switch from an 09+ and measure continuity while pressing switches. Or does the switch assembly have resistors built in?

Give this thread a read if you already haven't James, I'm not saying what you want to do is impossible, but the costs and the PITA factor may outweigh any convenience gained by moving things around.

Yeah I did read that thread, but changing the electronics doesnt seem like a good or logical way to get it done. Ya know on a simple level, the window system in the 07 works, I just need the switches moved. So replacing the entire control system doesn't make much sense. I mean I would get the ugly SPAL switches before doing that. Thing is they are ugly as sin and I want a stock look. Anyone have access to larger wiring diagrams for both setups? The ones posted there are barely legible. That or my eyes are aging faster than the rest of me...
