1/25 scale resin HHR kit???
#61
CJ-8 Scrambler
I know, not an HHR, but someone on here's gotta like Jeeps! This one is 95% done & just about ready to go to the caster...that way I'll see how he does with it to see if our HHRs will be in capable hands! This one used to be a Revell CJ-7, a CJ-8 is a stretched version that was only made for a few years, & never in a plastic scale model!

Nice little Road Ripper, Mike! You do nice work...on your 1:1 and in small scale!

Well, it's coming along...slowly but surely. Main body is almost ready, then it's on to bumpers and small parts. Decided I'm going to have these cast as a panel with no sunroof. Will fill the window openings with thinner material than the body, leaving an accurate shape on the inside to use as a guide for cutting. When you order your kit, you can specify how you want your HHR equipped...I'll cut the openings you want open so it's less work for you.

Next I suppose your going to tell me you will cast ours in Silverstone Metallic ! Great job so far and the updates are appreciated! Any plans for the windshield, side and rear glass ?

Kevin, I'll leave the painting up to the builder! Haven't tried fitting any "glass" yet, the molded in windshield is still in place to keep the body stiffer while the work is being done. The PT Cruiser that gave up it's chassis for this has a windshield that lays nicely over the outside, but won't know for sure if it'll work until it's removed. The side "glass" is only curved up & down, so acetate or clear styrene can be used. The back window will have to come from my parts box if I can find something that has the same curvature, then I'll have them cast in clear resin or use thermoform plastic.
