15" wheels?
I currently have a 2006 2LT with stock 17" low profile (50 ratio) tires. TireRack.com tells me the "Preferred Package" is a set of larger profile (60 ratio) winter tires on 15" steelies. I know the speedometer reading will be off by a mile or so. They told me on the phone that the clearance around the calipers will be just fine, even when dropping from 17 to 15.... should I trust this?
Thanks!

If you go to 15" tires you could find a little softer ride as well depending on air pressures. I went from 16" to 15" on my Venture Van and it made quite a difference in the ride quality. More sidewall to absorb the shock. Depending on your air pressure you may find a slight bit less response as well.
Tire construction and tread designs can both make a difference as well if you are alert and sensitive to your vehicles ride and handling.
