2.4 oil cooler

I have a 2006 HHR 2LT. Is it a fact that the 2.4 has an oil cooler. Is it the only year that has has one?

It is the only year, I think maybe some 2007s.
You should be able to see the oil cooler on the driver side of the engine, water connection to the t-stat housing.

It's my understanding that 06 was the only year for the oil cooler.

I have an '06 with a Feb. 2006 build date....no oil cooler. Think someone, way back, did research and discovered Chev stopped the oil coolers just after the first part of the year. So I missed it.

Thankx everyone for your help. I looked and did not see a oil cooler. I wonder why. Was it useful or maybe the cost to have it installed.
Thanx again for all your help.

It was one of those things that the engineers discontinued and was not needed. My guess would be a production cost savings of some sort.
