06 HHR LOVER

hi there! im new to the site and I have a 2006 HHR LT with the 2.2. My wife ran it without oil and it developed a knock. I found a 2006 HHR LT with a 2.4 motor and I am wondering if any one out there knows if these two will interchange? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thx

In a word - no.
The 2.4 has VVT solenoids that the 2.2 does not. The '06 2.2 was a standalone, you really need another just like it. Auto parts recycling yards have the interchange info and can tell what will work for your car.
