2006 hhr ls

I recently purchased 2006 hhr with an automatic transmission.
I read that automatics have remote start but my key fob does not have that button on it.
Does anybody know if this is true or how I could find out?
Thanks

Welcome and greetings! Well remote starting was an option in addition to the keyless entry. If you look in your glove box, and you'll need a flashlight, try to find the label with the build codes on it. Look for code AP3 which is remote start, if its there you have it, if not you don't. Remote start can be added as there are several aftermarket systems available.

hello and welcome! I also just purchased a 2007 2LT HHR and LOVE it!
but I believe that on the HHR the remote start was an option, and here in Kansas it is a 1 to 2k mark-up on a used HRR. but they are right... check the vin code and see if yours came with it if yes then get the correct fob from the dealer. I thought about the remote starter but i wanted a 5-speed and you cant do remote start on a manual tranny
