2006 HHR LT - Additional AC Delco Remote FOB wanted

Hi: Not sure if there are any supporting vendors to patronize on this site, however I was looking to pickup another factory AC Delco Remote Fob with the 3 buttons on the top and the red horn/panic button on the bottom. I had stopped at my local Napa store the other day, and asked him real quick about getting one, and he said it was about $66 and comes with the programmer, however I didn't ask what brand it was. Assuming they are still available, can anyone recommend the least expensive place to source an AC Delco part from? I believe the correct part # is 15114374, but was hoping someone could verify that for sure. As far as programming, is the dealer the only place that can do it? My private guy has so much equipment, I was just curious what type of tool/scanner the dealer uses to program them. Appreciate an info you have available.

Regards, Rainman.

Did you consider eBay or Amazon?
Do you need a case, a keypad or the circuit board? You can get them in combinations.
Most that come with the programmer are not GM, but the programmer works for GM fobs.
A locksmith or anyone with a Tech2 like device can do it.
The most common failures are the battery cage coming unsoldered (DIY fix) and the keypad getting dirty of mangled (cheap DIY fix).
Any of the correctly shaped fobs will work, the circuit board has positions for 6 or 9 buttons, on HHR you only need 3 unless you have a panel. But 4 if want to use the remote start instead of Lock + Panic.

Don: Thanks for the info; I found this one on Amazon as the least expensive; I like that it appears to be a true factory replacement; I think I will order in the next day or so.

Don: Thanks for that additional link. Sorry, I forgot to mention that we just picked up this 2006 LT for my 16 year old daughter, and it only came with 1 remote. Just wanted to have a 2nd one as a spare, cuz as you may know, teenager's and single quantities of certain objects sometimes are a recipe for disaster, lol..........
