I don't know much about cars...nor anything else. Anyway, we have a 2006 HHR and both wipers work but only on high. Also, when you turn them off they don't seat themselves properly down at the base of the windshield - they just stop "park" wherever they happen to be when I turn them off. I can turn them off and on enough to get them out of the way and, eventually, get them stopped at the bottom of the windshield. I did pull the panel off the passenger door the other day to replace a broken handle - I pulled apart a connector and I am wondering if that did something to blow a fuse or something. Electrical stuff is really kinda over my head. Based on these systems would anyone know where I should start looking to fix this problem? Thanks.

 

You need a new motor.

If you don't know anything, maybe you should go to someone that does.
I would check the switch, relays and diode before I went out throwing parts around.
Nothing in the doors have anything to do with the wipers.
Free Owner Manual link in my sig if you don't know where the relays and diode are. There might be a diagram under the cover of the under hood fuse box.
