2007 HHR Transmission issues

Curious about something. My 07 HHR is shifting super hard between first and second gear. When my 2009 would do this it was either low on fluid or in limp mode due to solenoids. However the 2007 is only doing this when the car has been parked on a slope or has been in heavy traffic for a good amount of time stop and go. Any ideas? Also for some reason this 2007 has abs delete and traction control delete as well. Thank you for your help

2007 ABS was an option, I think Traction control was a dream.
Transmission low on ATF? Where did it go?
Which engine? Any stored codes?
Hard shifting is usually caused by totally unrelated performance related malfunction, like a VVT valve going bad (if this is a 2.4).

It seems to me that these shocks are unlikely to be related to fluid leakage, although I am not an expert. But of course, it won't be too much to check...
On my 2006 car, I got these kicks twice, both times I either forgot to connect or did not fit the MAF tightly after replacing the air filter.
By the way, now my transmission is being repaired due to a lack of fluid (as experts told me with a high probability, low pressure). So - my transmission did not make any pushes and kicks before the breakdown, it drove smoothly until it died.

It is a 2.2L and doesn't have VVT. Going to raise the car up Monday and pull the fluid check screw. Had to do it often with my other HHR. Other than changing the solenoids for the VVT never had another issue on my 2009 2.2 VVT. Miss the extra power. No codes. No obvious leaks.

Again, where does the ATF go? If there are no puddles on the ground it is still in there. It is possible that a corroded radiator let ATF into the coolant.

I'm picturing a commercial for Reece's Peanut butter cups...

You got Dex in my cool! Well you got Ron in my Dex!

Except in this case, not good mixed together.

I just watched a video on YouTube about a Cobalt with the radiator/transmission cooler mixer problem!
the mechanic changes the radiator, cleaned the rad hoses with brake cleaner spray, and will change the transmission fluid 2 or 3 times to flush the transmission, he put the transmission cooler lines back on the new radiator, I would have put a temporary hose on with clamps to avoid contamination of the new radiator.

You mean bypass the radiator until the flushing is complete?

I think I would flush the cooling system also, I've got this for my pickup, cooling system was nasty neglected for a long time.
