Not yet as of Monday June 1st 550 employees retired myself being one of them January of this year we lost the 3rd shift last friday was the end of the 2nd shift.

They are running on days only with extended weeks out 2 years ago we were at 4,400 trannies a day now running at 1,100 and 950 workers less.Windsor was the auto capital of Canada but after the transmission plant closes in 2010 there will no longer be any GM presents.

Ah, I thought you'd posted months ago that the 4T45 was finished being built out already. Oh well. The HHR may not be as dead yet afterall.

Still building 2010`s we were done the 09`s end of Jan. there is a whare house in Detroit full of trannies the HHR is the only one that is getting the 4t45 one line can build out the whole year in 18 weeks.

Funny thing, I think I saw your line on "How It's Made" a few weeks ago on the Science Channel down here. They were showing how automatic transmissions were assembled, then showed the transmission in an HHR on a lift when the segment was over.

Interestingly I have started to look over the Camaro. My youngest daughter will need a car by 2011, so I may give her the HHR SS and get a Camaro. Although I'm not sure I'll be able to get down into a car that low to the ground after owning an HHR!

I am looking at the camaro for when I have my car paid off in 3 years hopefully. Gives me more encentive to pay it off even sooner. (have a 5 yr loan). Of course I stll plan on keeping my SS.
