I've read about the 2009 changes and I've looked at the pictures, so this doesn't make any sense to me--

Yesterday I went around and looked at 2009 HHRs at a few dealers. The dealers were closed, but I did look inside the HHRs. The 2009s that I looked at had the "old" style radio with the aux jack on the right and no USB port.

From the first post, this is supposed to be the new radio:

That's not what these looked like.

I'm 100% certain that the HHRs in question were 2009 models and I'm also 100% certain that I wasn't seeing things. The radios were visually identical to the one I have in my 2006.

Anyone have any ideas about this?

BTW, the aqua blue is gorgeous!

It looks nice, but I wouldn't pay the extra money just to get the E-85 Flex-Fuel... it isn't worth it.

It may be that the interior is different in the FlexFuel model.

Maybe you are looking at an LS and those pics are from an LT?

Both 2009 engines (I'm not sure about the turbo in the SS) are E85 capable, so I'm pretty sure that's not it. :)

That's remotely possible, but I looked at an awful lot of HHRs and I know many of them were LTs. That aside, I was under the impression that the standard radio in all the 2009 models had the USB port. I didn't think it was an LT-only feature-- is it?

Thanks for the ideas.

Close-up of radio w/USB in my 2009 (with iPod attached):

The radio with the USB port is an add-on for an extra $100. The only difference between the standard 2009 radio is the USB port. The standard radio across all trim levels for 2009 is the one that was standard on LT models for previous years.
