2010 hhr
Well the 2010 was a bust! I looked at it in the am before the seller there. It turned out that it was located at a dumpy used car lot full of auction cars and the car itself was crappy looking so i cancelled the deal. But good news! I found a 2007 HHR LT for sale from a private seller and just brought it home. 159k miles but its in very nice condition. The seller had just replaced the control arms, cv joints and ball joints too! I just drove it home a 100 miles and it drives great. It does have a broken inside drivers door handle but I just ordered a new one from rock auto. Im happy

To he honest no. It was past 11 pm when I ordered it and I was tired from driving. 😕 also have an issue with the power seat not moving back and forth. Up and down works fine. Does back/forth use the same or a separate motor? Thxs

Ok i plan on taking the rearbseat bolts off this weekend so i can look at it. Thanks. Whats your opinion on changing the automatic trans fluid? The seller didn't because he believes that can cause problems. Ive heard opinions both ways

Over 100,000 is up to you on the trans fluid. A 2007 should have dexron vi from the factory, that is synthetic and should last forever, unless used in "severe" service. Check the Owner Manual, link in my sig.

I recently changed the fluid and filter in a 2.2l HHR I just bought with 100,000 miles on it.
The 2 magnets in the pan were fairly heavy with metallic fuzz, but I didn't take the filter apart to inspect.
Fluid was still fairly red and didn't smell.
Certainly can't hurt to change a filter, didn't hurt this car.
Here are a couple of GM bulletins regarding Dexron VI, your choice. You may find it interesting reading
