2011 2-way remote start

I was told by the dealer that any 2011 HHR LS ordered with automatic transmission will include a remote start. But I found out it was only a 1-way remote start. I asked if I could upgrade the 1-way remote start to the GM dealer installed 2-way advanced remote start which was offered via option in the previous 2010 HHR LS. The dealer said this was not possible because the electronics changed from 2010 to 2011. And they could not install the 2-way remote start on the 2011 model. Does anyone know if this is true or just a marketing gimmick, it just doesn’t make sense that a previous 2010 model the dealer could install the 2-way remote but the next years model 2011 not able to install it?

Part Number: 19157234 states 2007-2010 HHR in the parts accessories guide. But when I asked a parts guy to look up a 2011 HHR, it is listed under the electronic accessories. So it would seem that it will work.
