2011 hhr?

I thought 2010 was the last year, but apparently not. Just got through looking at the chevy website and 2011's appear along with some new colors! Mocha steel metallic is just one of them.

Options for the last year will be short for the most part.

Pretty sure I saw a 2011 on a local dealer's lot last week, didn't have a window sticker so I wasn't positive but it was brand new and next to the 2011 Regal. Looked pretty much the same as always though the interior looked improved.

GM will be stupid as hell to let the HHR come to an end.

Ah well, what do you expect from good ol' Government Motors.

With the death of the PT, it's in an orphaned market.

I'm actually surprised the PT lasted as long as it did. Retro has a short shelf life.

I hate the Govement involved as they are but they have nothing to do with the death of the HHR.

The simple thing is the Retro thing is winding down. Also GM would like to build cars they can sell world wide. American retro sells over seas with the Camaro but not so much with the HHR. Few in Europe or China understand what a 48 Suburban or 55 Nomad. I have seen Euro magzines that often wonder what we see in the HHR just as we wonder what Europe see's in the Fiat 500 etc.

GM right now needs to make sure every car works and most will have to play in a global market to absorb development cost.

There is a lot more today to building cars just for a small market anymore.

Chevy is now sold world wide and is no longer just Baseball, Hot Dogs, Apple Pie and Chevrolet.

I would like to see a interesting modern design like the Camaro that may have a look of a older car with more modern day edge to it. Any design they do now has to also stand on it's own so people who don't know the retro lookwill still pick up on the look.

The new Mini is a good example in the states. It is retro to a point but still of interest to many who never saw or were around for the original car. Also clever marketing has helped it sell many many cars world wide.

Delta platform terminated

The delta platform on which the HHR is based goes out of production across the GM universe after 2011.

Bring on more dull and boring models. It's like the 80's all over again. Ugh.
