2011 remote start
just bought another HHR, 2011, almost the twin to my 10, LT2 leather, sunroof, etc, noticed this one does not have remote start like the 10, looked at window sticker that I have for the 10 and remote start included with auto trans. So do I have wrong FOB's ? or ?? thanks Rob

Not all 2011 have it. Most reliable way to check is look at the hood latch If there is a wire connected to it it has it. Or click through the DIC if it has RS there will be an option to enable/disable.
If I understand the codes, AP3 applies to RKE in 2011 not RS.
If the fob does not have a RS button on it you substitute Lock+Panic.

I have a 2011 2LT and it does have AP3 on the glove box door.
My remote FOB just has Lock & Unlock plus Alarm.
It however is not the Original FOB as the dealer lost it and replaced it with a new one.
I assume they went from the Vin Number but not positive.
I do not use remote start so cannot confirm any thing else.
You should be able to take the Vin Number to a Chevrolet dealer and have them confirm one way or the other.
I am assuming your 2011 is a 2LT ? You did not say for sure it was.
Hard to imagine it would not be standard on that model unless there was an RPO for delete.
Some HHR's ordered for Lease and Rental companies had several deletes special for them to cut original purchase costs.

OR, you could enter the customization menu in the DIC and look for the Remote Start enable/disable option. If it is there enable it then use your fob and press Lock then Lock+Panic which will start the engine remotely. On fobs with a RS button the contact connects Lock and Panic.
Cars factory equipped with Remote Start have a hood open switch integrated into the hood latch, thus it will have wires connected to it.
If you can't bring yourselves to believe me feel free to take your fob apart and observe the printed circuit. And look under the hood of a few HHRs.
We have this discussion at least annually. The RPO code AP3 in 2011 actually means "Lock Control, Entry-Remote, Keyless Entry, Start". In 2009 it reads the same but (Do not use after 2009 M.Y.) is noted.
So, the flat statement "RPO code AP3 means you (do/do not) have Remote Start" is not factual.
