2LT to SS body conversion
First post here so hello everyone! I'm am looking to finally get my 2006 2LT modified aesthetically to look like an SS. I can't seem to find anywhere whether or not the SS front/rear bumper covers are a direct fit. They seem to look like they will with only one difference, the fog lights are smaller. If anyone knows, please hit me up either by replying directly to this thread or using my personal email. Looking to start buying all my parts soon for my paint guy to start working. Also, what about the running boards? Are those also just a bolt on replacement or is there any additional work needed?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Welcome to the site, the front bumper from an SS requires the reinforcement bar from an SS , GM at one time offered a kit.
The LS/LT grille is a little bit shorter then an SS grille , see post #6

The SS side skirts require the mounting brackets and hardware .

No hypocrisy here. I have both.
Not to judge anyone’s taste, but I find the SS protruding proboscis clunky, and form defensible only for the function of accommodating the intercooler. Why suffer with no HP gain? Yeah, ground effects, but without the turbo, you can’t go fast enough to need it.
Also, the increase in resale value, if any, won’t match the cost.
Also, there are real SS’s out there that need those good used bumper. And OEM SS wheels.
For the cost of the faux SS “upgrade” plus the sale price of your present HHR, you should be able to find a real SS in similar condition.
Even an LS can look pretty with some nice wheels.

Like your thinking but I like the idea of just modifying what I have. I bought it new 15 years ago and has treated me the way I've treated it. That's why I'm willing to do to it what I've been wanting to for a long time. It's gonna get some real loving over the next couple months and in the spring of next year when I got more $$$. Plus, I like a naturally aspirated vehicle. Looking at Hahn Racecraft t to possibly rebuild my 2.4! Maybe I'll do that next year along with my uphostery. It's getting paint in Spetember hopefully, along with an array of new parts to spruce up all the old and worn parts.

No adaptors or spacers needed. They are 17x8.0, 35mm offset. Won’t clear the Brembos on my SS, pretty sure they would fit a non-Brembo SS.
I bought them used. Discontinued product. I know of one other HHR with those wheels. Would like to buy a spare if I could find one.
