Question 30 DOLLAR E-BAY Performance chips?

Worth the 30 bucks?? I mean they look ok....... talk me out of them!!!!!!!!

Make sure you get the kind that has to be hard wired in. The ones that plug into the obd2 port don't work.

First. You just answered your own question here.

Second. Even if they did work, on the HHR the computer's "learn down" feature would cover up any changes within a short period of time.

Third. Most, if not all of these "gimmick chips" are nothing more than a diode or a resistor inside a "tech" looking plastic cover. (High tech ones may be both a diode AND a resistor..... Ooooh! fancy) Hardly an actual "chip".

Fourth. If there were MPG and Horsepower gains to be had by such a simple means, wouldn't GM have instituted this themselves?

Most of the only trick the computer into thinking it's getting colder air so it will run rich. Not worth the cost by a long shot.....

2 years ago I bought a chip wired in with 2 wires no change I paid $75.00 its in my garage somewhere, a waste of time and money.
