450 Miles on a Full Tank of Gas?
I love how they adverstise the HHR can do 450 miles before refulling. Whenever I full-up and check my full range afterwords it always says around 330 miles I can do. Has anyone seen 450 right after pumping out gas. Normally I get 280 to 300 miles before refueling. I drive half highway/half streets.

I wouldn't put too much faith in that. Theoretically if you coast into a gas station, the computer can calculate that as some ridiculously high MPG. So after you gas up, MPG X Gallons = High miles range. Just stump on the accelerator and see what happens.

I've had mine say well over 500miles before. But i normally dont accelerate over 3grand and 99% of my drivin is steady 45 or 55mph. I actually get over 500 miles to a tank if i do the math my self and not trust the computer although it is really close.

Revive an old thread here. I read all the new red dot ones so i looked through the old post and found this one. I get over 500 miles to a tank on a regular basis. I have not reset the MPG on the NIC since the day I bought mine Jan 28th '06. I do a ton of driving, mostly highway. I noticed that when mine gets down to the point that the fuel indicator comes on it will not show you how many miles are left. When I fill up, mine normally reads 500-530, but I'm also getting on average 30-31 MPG.
It was 10 weeks old Saturday, and I'm showing 14,303 miles. YIKES

The last time I checked, I was getting around 425 to 450 miles with my 2.2L on a full tank of guess. That's with some stop and go traffic. I hardly use the A/C right now, but I'm sure that gas mileage will drop a little bit come next month when the A/C will become a must, but I don't expect too much of a drop.

I get 450 a tank easily. I drive the highways and biways, not much city driving. average 32 mpg. Getting ready to turn 26,000 miles and no problems yet. the average would be higher if I drove 60-65 mph. You can watch it start to go down significantly when cruising over 75 mpg. I seem to get better mileage on regular. Every once in awhile I'll put some mid-grade in it.
