I have 3600+ miles and my DIC usually say 400 miles at fill-up. I've had the low fuel light come on a couple of times. When the light comes on, it takes over your DIC.

I have 1200 miles on my HHR and just filled it up for the third time last night. The dealer gave me the first fill up. All my driving is combined city/highway driving and have been impressed with the mileage so far.
The first tank I got 25.4 MPG, the second tank got 26.7, and the last tank I had an even 28 MPG. I reset the DIC when I fill up and have checked it's figures against my calculator and they are very close to the same. Highway driving is usually between 70 and 80 MPH with a few 90 + thrown in. I don't feather foot it town either. Just for the record, I have a 2LT with the 5 speed.

I almost forgot to mention, I got 425.6 on my last tank of gas.

my 2.4 /auto, is mostly city and also not a pedal featherer, and get almost 24 on cheap stuff. hasn't seen much highway time and not much noticable performance or mileage with mid or premium. bought it because it did run cheap stuff, my big 70' chrysler's 440 requires premium or it runs like s***!!

None of you guys know what city driving is. I have gotten as low as 14 mpg, but I am talking about CITY driving-New York City. When you are stuck in bumper to bumper gridlock for an hour, and go only several blocks, you are getting virtually 0 miles per gallon. Factor that in, and it kills your average mpg.

I didn't realize NY was the only city with traffic lights and bumper to bumper traffic!

I like wheelsee's thinking. Don't let anything take over your DIC. Be the master of your DIC.
