I agree. We almost bought a PT a few years ago, it was used. The only reason we didn't is that it clearly had something wrong with the rack. It would pull hard to the left from a dead stop. The sales idiot tried to tell me it was "torque steer". Give me a break. Anyway, one thing I think the PT has better is the overall look and feel of the dash board. The color matched accents are much more atractive than than the all plastic look of the HHR. A dash kit is in our future, but really should have been included from the factory.

H3 is a VERY capable vehicle. I had the pleasure of driving one on the off road course that GM set up a few years ago at an Auto Show in Motion event. Mud bog, hill climb, and boulder run were easy in that truck. While the H2s kept getting stuck, the H3s were just pulling around them and getting through with ease. The key is the locking front axle. You just can't stop them in stock form. There's nothing wannabe about the H3.

The Colorado and Canyon are decent trucks, but they probably would have sold more if they'd had the six-cylinder option and kept the S-series names. Next year the Colorado will have the new direct-injection six that's in the CTS and Camaro.
No disrespect intended, but neither the H2 or H3 even comes close to the capability of the H1. They are very capable vehicles, but the H1 is in a class of it's own. Ground clearance without a differential hanging down is just the 1st thing that comes to mind, then there's automatic deflate/inflate of tires from within the cab, etc.
Now if your talking about fuel mileage, I can't argue

you also gotta undertsand the h1 was built for the army wiwth army money so only stipulation was , make it a tank that never gets stuck, they took the h1 and made a civilian vehicle. UNlike the h2-3 which are oversized tahoes, with some offroad capabilities....

The H2 was based on the Tahoe frame, but is actually a 3/4 ton design, the H3 is based on the Colorado. The H3 has much more than "some" offroad capabilities, and I'd put it up against a stock Wrangler or even a Mercedes Gelandewagen any day of the week.

OK, but would you put it up against an H1?

I think all we are saying is that the original design of the H1 (HumVee) was pure off road, military, beefy, tough VS the H2 and H3 that are off road/street vehicles modified to look like the original. That's probably what was meant by "wanna be"

Nobody would put it up against the H1. Then again, nobody would put a Jeep Grand Cherokee up against the original military Jeep. However, I would put the H3 up against ANY vehicle ever produced by Jeep in stock form. My point is that calling someone a poser for driving an H2 or H3 is kind of ridiculous. Someone who buys an H2 or H3 knows it's not an H1, and they aren't trying to go around saying they are an H1.

BTW, I have a good friend who daily drives an H1 Alpha. He spends more time in a loaner H2 because he's always breaking the H1A on the weekends...
